Recovering from the hacking attack!

Thankfully i got my blog up and running. If anyone didn’t noticed, a week ago my former host – NOLIMITSHOST – was hacked and everyone under no limits was hacked too. There was no updates from my former host, I don’t know if they tried to get in touch with us or anything–say maybe just to give us updates if they are doing something about it? Would be great yeah? but NO they didn’t! I waited about a week and still no word from them and frankly i was so disappointed , so I needed to start scouting for another reliable web host fast and thanks to Anne for the help and for giving me the link that i found Rigrag. Thanks also to those who i’ve DMed and replied to me on Twitter . Ya’ll been a big help just by replying and sharing what you know.

I am currently trying Rigrag’s 30 day trial for free, i don’t wanna say it too soon but so far they are prompt to my queries and if i like their service I’ll be switching to them. Rigrag has also made an announcement on their tumblr account offering help to those who got affected by the hacking of nolimitshost.

Moving on, I’m so glad that my site is up now and good thing I always do my own back ups whenever i make a new post, though i lost a few comments still I’m thankful to God that i didn’t have to start from scratch. Got backups for links and other stuff too. I’ll be doing them gradually since i’ve got limited time to do it.

This is it for now, gotta run. God Bless ya’ll and be safe. Remember to always do backups– just in case and it’s also a reminder for me too.

Toodles!

  1. Welcome back! I’m glad you got everything up and running. Good on Rigrag to use this an opportunity to help out NLH hostees. More money for them. Hahaha.

  2. Congrats on having your site back again! I hate those hackers.. there were so many bloggers who were hacked.. everytime I blog hop during the past few weeks, i never fail to hop on a hacked site.. They’re mean =(
No limits should have contacted you.. It’s good you found rigrag =))

  3. good thing that you have all the back ups with you. kung blog ko na0hack, start from scratch ako. lol

  4. That hack incident caused A LOT of trouble to me T_T I had to manually backup my clients (on my hosting website) before NLH would even give my backups. I requested for them earlier but they replied when the hack was OVER so it was totally useless. Anw, I too am currently with rigrag with another blog, then another with zyma hosting. the lesson it left me was to never put your blogs in the same host, at least, have two hosting websites to host it (the other will be backup) so now I have 5 hosts =) Luckily the other one is free.
Plus that, backup is very important! Go with the website that allows BACKUP unlike NLH >_<

Also congratulations your site is back again :D:D <3<3<3

  5. My site got hacked, too. I’m one of Anne’s hostees at PinkFab.Info.. so. But glad that she was able to make a backup. 🙂 I’m now at Tumblr, though. 😀

Oh, and congrats on having your site up and running!

  6. I haven’t experience my site getting hack yet,(and I don’t want it to happen) but I always do backups of my posts and sites every week. Just to be sure.

Good thing your site is now back. Congratz! 🙂

  7. Ate Karen! I sooo missed yooou 🙂 it’s good that you made a backup. it’s really handy in times like those 🙂 ako nag-tumblr nalang para wala ng hosting. it’s much easier pa 😀 haha! hopefully, maging okay na yung sa host mo ngayon. I think it will 🙂 take care!
