Have you ever had any encounter with geese?

Break

Coz i sure did…

My first encounter with geese was back in my Day Care years. I think i was around 5 or 6 years old. My Day Care school is located somewhat in the middle of a rice field. I remembered it’s not that far from our house…My mom used to hop me on her big old bike (the one with big tires) and drop me off in the corner where i would go together with my classmates. So while walking we would see a couple of geese walking around the neighborhood. Someone would tell us not to run, but how could you not run when it’s sticking it’s mouth/nose at your legs and that scary long neck they have? At first we would keep on walking pretending we’re not afraid and somehow thinking to ourselves they would not mind us passing by or somehow it will leave us alone and continue minding it’s own business but then they kept on following for a minute, we’re scared we’d get bitten we’d  be running as fast as we can away from the crazy geese. One classmate got picked on by this one goose that wrecked his new sling bag. Good thing nothing big happened but just the bag.

PhotobucketMy second encounter was at my childhood friend’s house–Liway, where the first thing i’d do in the morning after a bath is go to their house and hang out for the whole day sometimes i’d have my lunch over at their house because her lola and my late lola are long time friends. They have a neighbor who takes care of geese. This neighbor would let their geese walk around on the afternoons. So every late afternoon when i’d go home i’d make it to a point to wait Photobucket for the neighbor to keep their geese on a cage. But this one time i thought they weren’t no geese around so i was happy walking around only to find as soon as i turned left on the corner which was 3 blocks away from our house — there were geese!!Photobucket It was too late for me to turn Photobucket back so i walked silently on the sides of the street trying to be calm hoping they won’t ever notice me BUT they did!! I panicked! PhotobucketI don’t know why they hate me so, these pack of geese turned their heads/long necks on me, i got soooo scared that i started running i thought i’ll just keep on running fast and eventually they would stop chasing but this one goose didn’t. I kept running for dear life passing our house down to my lola’s house on my mother side up at 10 blocks or so coz this one goose won’t stop chasing me and sticking it’s mouth on my legs. I was so nervous i almost cried when i got to my lola’s house gasping for breath and sweating Photobucket. Can you just imagine that? Looking back at it now it’s kinda funny and somehow embarrassing how i was running around the neighborhood and someone did saw me!!? hahaha! But that was one scary thing for meI already got a phobia after all that incident…lucky me i haven’t encountered any geese after that and up until now. I wouldn’t want anything happen like that to me ever again. I really don’t know what’s their problem with me. garupalePhotobucket

ahaha, sorry to hear you had to experience that =P. I am not a bird lover, I hate birds!! Especially seagulls. Once a seagull swiped a french fry out of mouth right as I was putting it into my mouth. I've also been attacked by peacocks, and pooped on by a blue jay. I haven't had any bad experiences with geese, yet.
