Customizing Fonts for Blogger

For a couple of weeks now I’ve been searching and trying to figure out a way to use my favorite font here, to add a little beauty on my blog aside from the old and boring font. That last template i used i edited the fonts on its xml but sad to say I’m the only one who can see it — that happens when the font i’m using isn’t installed on other people’s computer, they’ll only see the default fonts.

Fortunately there’s a way around it by using sIFR (Scalable Inman Flash Replacement) —read here or here for more details, I got excited while reading the first page thinking i have the solution to my problem BUT  i don’t have flash on the computer so i tried to search for another way that i could be able to customize or change fonts on here and people will see it even if they don’t have the font installed on their computer.

After all the searching i finally found one that’s very easy and you don’t need flash to change or render your fonts, just simply copy the code on the site and paste it on your html/xml template (but if you have flash on your computer use sIRF) … If you’re wondering how i got that beautiful font on my header, post title and sidebar– go to Fontburner.com

All you have to do is (based on what i did on my blog):

1. Choose fonts available on their category, like me i picked Desyrel font under the decorative category,

2. When you find one that you like click on “get code” or simply click on the font:

3. Then you’ll see the code below the screen after you clicked the “get code”, like this: copy and paste it on your blog layout.

4. Go to your blogger account> Login>Dashboard>Layout (of your blog that you want to customize/change font) >Edit Html

Then paste the code under the head tag before the body tag on your xml/html template, like this:

Note: You can change the font color but only to black, white and gray color.

That’s all then save and view your new transformed blog site.
