We had our Retreat Last January 16-18, 2006 in Bethania Retreat House. It wasn’t my first time to go there coz we had our Retreat in Bethania when i was graduating in High School, it is a requirement for all the graduating students since it’s a Catholic School. Nun’s or the RVM sister’s run the place, so SILENCE is the number one rule. Every corner has this little poster where it says something about silence, in the bathroom, dining hall and every rooms. *bites nails*.
Mostly we’re whispering in order for us not to get reprimanded by our School Guardian but we still do. We’re not allowed to have cellphones or anything that would distract us from the world. Retreat is the time for reflecting on what we’ve done in the past years, a time for meditation and prayer. But some manage to keep their phones, cameras, cd walkman from being confiscated, well i did surrender my phone but not the camera. I hid it in my bag, folded with some clothes…hehe bad of me i know, and Neren (my cousin) got her camera hidden in a little tissue box lol.
The cool part was the place and the food, If i’d stay in there for a week I’m sure i’ll get really fat.
So it was awesome.
