A Long Overdue Update

Hey ya’ll, how have you been doing? Hope everything’s great with ya’ll…sorry that i haven’t posted anything on here for 2 months but can’t say you haven’t been warned.

I kept procrastinating and i have been lazying around, meaning i haven’t cleaned my room or our house. Although I’m not a messy person, i always clean up after my mess but when you don’t get to sweep the floor for a month all you get is dust and when that happens I’ll be in a state of lethargy. It was actually yesterday that i’ve done what i’ve been meaning or ought to do and i felt productive…with that being said, it makes me think clearly.

Last Tuesday, me and my Aints (aunt) started jogging/walking at a public school grandstand up at 5 blocks from our house. It was hard and it has been and still is a challenge for me waking up at 5:30 in the morning when the weather is cold and all you want to do is lie in bed, close your eyes and curl up under the covers. I go wash my face and brush my teeth with my eyes half closed. My body was all sore but it doesn’t ache that much anymore like the first day, I strained a muscle in my right thigh on the first day and it hurts moving it  but the pain is almost gone now, my calves still aches a bit too but i’m getting used to the exercise. We’re on our 4th day this morning, we did 10 laps at the oval with a mix of walking and jogging. It felt pretty good.

This Sunday, me, Ma and my niece Kisha will be going to Manila to attend the funeral of my cousin Manong Glenn who passed away last October  27, 2010 of Aneurysm. I’ve only met him twice, first was at my first vacay in Manila after my Pa’s burial, I think I was 9 y.o. that time and second was at my grandpa’s funeral, but even with that little time, I see him as a good, caring and loving son, a brother, cousin to us and to his family and he will surely be missed. His spirit and his memories will live on forever to all those lives of people he’s touched. *sigh*

To Manong Glenn…We will miss you…may you rest in peace.
